I started my business because it was so me… so why was it starting to feel like it wasn’t??
That’s the question I found myself asking a couple of years ago.
I built PUSH Manager Training to make work better for people – because I knew, first-hand, how much the wrong environment could impact your wellbeing, your confidence, your life.
And when I launched, it felt completely aligned and congruent. It was full of purpose, heart, and energy. It felt like an extension of me.
But over time – as the business grew – something started to shift.
And at first, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It was successful. We had the clients. The results. The revenue. So why didn’t it feel right anymore?
And then I realised:
👉 Sometimes, as the business evolves, you get pulled into a different role than the one you ever intended to play.
👉 Sometimes, you change – your priorities, your passions, your sense of purpose.
👉 And often? It’s both.
That was my story. The business was growing. But I was doing less of the work I loved:
⚠️ I wasn’t working directly with people anymore.
⚠️ I wasn’t coaching or in workshops.
⚠️ I wasn’t doing the deep human work that energised me.
Instead, I was stuck in the operational day-to-day. Firefighting. Managing. Solving problems. I’d gone from founder to business fixer. And I didn’t want that role.
Because here’s the truth:
I started PUSH to have a direct hand in changing lives and sharing my experience.
And I realised I was no longer in the role I thrived in. So, I made a decision to rebuild things around what felt congruent again.
✔ I redefined my role.
✔ I redesigned how the business worked.
✔ I let go of the parts that no longer fit.
✔ And I stepped fully back into the work that lights me up – coaching, leading, and now, training as a psychotherapist.
And when I did? The business got better. I felt clearer. And for the first time in a long time – I felt like me again. And, of course, the business thrived and flowed better.
So, if your business has shifted… Or if you have shifted… And it no longer feels aligned… You’re not broken and it’s not broken. It might just be time for a realignment.
